Discovering a fascinating world – The Cave of Saint-Léonard!

Spéléo Québec, in collaboration with the Saint-Léonard borough, is organising an open day on October 4th at the Caverne de Saint-Léonard (5200 Boulevard Lavoisier, Montreal). This event, for which registration is compulsory but free of charge, will give you the chance to discover this little-known natural environment and experience some thrilling adventures underground! The day will feature interpretive activities on the surface, including scientific demonstrations and exhibitions of rocks and fossils. Guided tours will be available at the site entrance for those aged 6 and over. The activities are taking place in the heart of Montreal, in Pie-XII Park, which is accessible on foot, by bike, by car and by public transport.

October 4th:
– 9:00 am to 12:00 pm: Information stand, scientific demonstration of limestone dissolution and demonstration of caving equipment, children’s games
– 9:00 am to 4:00 pm: Introduction to caving with a guided tour of the entrance to the Caverne de Saint-Léonard
– 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Information stand, scientific demonstration of limestone dissolution and caving equipment, children’s games
