Science Literacy Week invites everyone to unleash their curiosity. This year’s theme, Curiosity Unleashed, invites everyone to explore, play, and notice the world in new ways. 

Curiosity isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about trying, tinkering, and learning from the unexpected.

    You don’t need special tools to wonder, experiment, and ask “what if?” 
  • Mistakes and surprises help us learn
    Many discoveries, like the popsicle, started as happy accidents. Trying, failing, and repeating often leads to new ideas, inventions, and discoveries.
  • Exploration is playful
    Hands-on activities, questions, and experiments are not just fun, they build confidence, spark creativity, and help us see the world in new ways.

Presented by the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC), Science Literacy Week is a national celebration of curiosity, discovery, and the science all around us. From coast to coast to coast, CASC members, educators, and a growing ecosystem of STEM learning leaders are coming together to spark questions, try new ideas, and explore science in everyday life.
