In the spider’s web

Quebec is home to several hundred species of spiders. They often have a bad reputation, but the vast majority are harmless to us. Their diversity is incredible: some ‘fly’ along silk threads and travel for kilometres, whilst others dance to attract a mate or capture their prey without ever spinning a web. Let’s get out into the field to observe them. Anatomy, strange behaviours, survival strategies – and as a bonus, you’ll be able to take part in a participatory science activity!
