Experience for 5 years and older | Foxes’ Lunch

October 11 @ 8:30 am10:30 am

This event is bilingual

Find out what’s on the lunch menu for the arctic foxes and red foxes at the Ecomuseum Zoo!

Foxes are very good at camouflage and tend to be rather discreet… except when food is involved! Don’t miss the chance to meet the family of arctic foxes living at the Ecomuseum Zoo: Polaris, Neva, and their cubs Alaska, Lumi, Quinzy and Tundra, as well as the red foxes: Sindri, Inari, Saga, Zenko, and Timothea. They all love receiving treats from visitors at lunchtime, and their appetites are every bit as big as their curiosity!

The activity lasts 2 hours. You’ll first take part in an interactive presentation about foxes to learn more about their behaviour, their role in nature and, above all, their diet! Then, once you’ve become proper experts, it’ll be your turn to get stuck in: you’ll roll up your sleeves to prepare the foxes’ lunch, before heading out to serve it in the two enclosures. This is where you’ll experience a unique moment, watching the arctic foxes and red foxes explore and tuck into the meals you’ve prepared! You won’t regret bringing your camera!

The activity starts at 8:30 am, before the zoo opens, and finishes at 10:30 am. The activity is led by one of our zoologists, an expert in Quebec’s wildlife, so please feel free to ask them any questions or express any curiosity that comes to mind throughout the activity! You’ll then have the chance to explore the Ecomuseum Zoo at your leisure, as admission is included in the price of the activity.

Please note that children under the age of 5 will not be admitted to this activity.
