An Evening at the Museum | The Ancient History of Île Saint-Bernard
What can stone tools tell us about the people who lived in this area several thousand years ago?
Delve into the ancient history of Île Saint-Bernard and discover how the analysis of stone tools enables archaeologists to gain a better understanding not only of how the area was settled, but also of the links and exchanges that existed between the various Indigenous communities.
The evening will be divided into two parts.
A short talk will begin by introducing you to what research into the stone tools found on Île Saint-Bernard tells us about the island’s ancient history.
Thomaz Oliveira, a Master’s student in anthropology at the Université de Montréal and an intern at the ArchéoMusée, will present his research into stone tools from Île Saint-Bernard.
